You can search for a domain name by using
our domain search tool. Go.

- How much do
you charge for domain names?
Unlike domain registrars like Network
Solutions and Register.com who charge $35
per year, Webulant saves you over 40% on
domain names. We charge only $18/year.

- Are you a
domain registrar?
No, Webulant is not a domain registrar. We
have partnered with Everplanet to offer
domain registration to our customers. By
forging a strong partnership with a company
that focuses solely on domain registration
services, the Webulant team can focus all our
efforts on providing reliable and affordable
Windows web hosting services.

- If I sign
up a new domain name, who owns it?
Technically, no one owns a domain name. By
paying the domain registration fee, you
license the rights to use that unique domain
name throughout the world for a specific
time. Therefore, should you ever cancel your
Webulant hosting account, you will still own
the rights for that domain name, for as long
as you continue to pay the registration
fees.

- Is there a
limit to the length of my domain name?
Domain names can be up to 67 alphanumeric
characters and hyphens. This includes the
.com, .net or .org extension, which counts
as four characters. In addition, domain
names cannot begin or end with a hyphen.

- How do I
register an international domain name?
(e.g., .uk, .ca, .br, etc.)
Webulant can host your international domain
name. However, we do not register
international domain names. Each country has
their own domain registry that either
operates directly with the public or through
resellers. You will need to find the
particular international domain registry and
follow their procedures. Webulant can provide
you with any information required by the
international domain registry. Typically,
the international domain registry requires Webulant's DNS information, which is listed
in question 1,
above.

- How long
does it take for the world to recognize my
domain name?
After ordering, Webulant will update our
internal DNS (domain name servers) within 24
hours. Our domain registration partner,
Everplanet, will update their DNS within
48 hours. After these steps, it is up to the
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) around the
world to update their DNS to recognize your
domain name. Most major ISPs, such as
Earthlink and AOL, update their DNS several
times each day. However, smaller ISPs may
update their DNS less frequently. Therefore,
most of the world will recognize your domain
name within a few days, but it may take up
to a week for the entire Internet community
to access your domain name.
